Hosting
From
disaster recover for mission critical eBusiness applications to
high availability web site hosting, the data center has a range
of shared and dedicated co-location services to meet your needs.
With Internet Connections to UUNet, Spring, and AT&T WorldNet,
The clients benefit from the performance and redundancy of the strongest
multi-homed network in the region.
Attack
and Intrusion Secure
The
Data Center Offers a vast array of creatively architected managed
data center services including firewall, load balancing, backups
and scalable storage. All managed services like the Checkpoint firewall
cluster shown, are completely redundant with real-time monitoring
and failover
Backups
The
EMC powered scalable storage a system provides customers with on-demand
storage. Fully integrated with the storage system the STK Powderhorn
tape backup systems running Legato software can provide serverless
backups. Tape cloning and off-site tape archival is also available
through a single unified storage and backup platform
Core
Network
The
fully redundant Cisco core switching and routing equipment is capable
of multi – gigabit throughput ensuring the reliable deliver
of data between the Internet and our servers.
Cabling
The
Data Center is cabled with Avaya certified Gigaspeed cabling, patch
panels and core network connections. In addition to the cabling
, special sensors under the floor can detect water or glycol leaks,
as well as temperature or humidity anomalies.
Security
Over
15 Security cameras monitor the outside perimeter and inside raised
floor and facilities areas. The video is monitored by the NOC and
front des, while simultaneously recorded for future playback. Proximity
key fobs protect access to each security zone.
Power
and Generators
Two
megawatts of power from the street come in to the data centers power
plant, which includes two caterpillar generators and a 4,000 gallon
on-site fuel tank. The facility has not had a power related outage
since it opened in 1987.
UPS
and Batteries
Upon
loss of street power, the power plan is configured to run the Exide
UPS systems for 10 second before switching to generator power. Batteries
UPS systems, &generators are electronically monitored by Liebert
Site Scan software in the NOC.
Fire
Suppression
The
data center is protected by three fire suppression systems. The
first to discharge is a Halon chemical system. The net is a dry-pipe
pre-action water system in which the pipes fill upon smoke detection
and individual heads break when they reach a certain temperature.
The final system is an FM200 system dedicated to the internals of
the on-site STK powderhon tape silo.
Network
Operations
The
Network operations center (NOC) is staffed 24x7 to respond to monitoring
alerts and customer calls. The backup NOC, Located in the Headquarters,
shares the same phone system and monitoring screens and incorporates
video conferencing technologies. The unified system allows for real
time – sharing of trouble ticketing , CRM, and call resolution.
Monitoring
The
Data Center has real time monitoring of all of the servers on our
network. Using Nagaios, we are able to Monitor network services
(SMTP, POP3, HTTP, NNTP, PING, etc.) And host resources (processor
load, disk and memory usage, running processes, log files, etc.
Our technicians are notified immediately 24 hours a day if there
is an outage of any machine on our network.
